This video was an exploration of the capabilities of the Content-Aware Fill tool in After Effects, conducted immediately after its introduction to understand its potential.
This tool was a game-changer. While the Edge Blend fill method could be replicated in the past with a mix of blurs and color link, the Surface fill method brings a whole new dimension when applied to faces.
Just a heads up - make sure you've got plenty of disk space. For this 4K video, the tool generated png sequences that took up more than 150Gb.
As for the music, I originally composed it at a faster tempo, but slowed it down to sync perfectly with the loop.
